Focus on Photography - Learn the “How To” skills that will help you to take better photos.

This is a brand new course being run by British photographer Emma O’Brien and covers the basic skills you’ll need to improve your photography and start taking better photos.  The course is being split into four weekend afternoon sessions  that are being held in Fourways (venue TBC).  The Focus on Photography course will cover the following:

  • How to use your digital camera and lenses
  • ISO – what it is and how to use it
  • Aperture – how to use it for creative effect
  • Shutter speed – what it means and how to use it
  • Using your camera on manual
  • Light – natural and artificial, where to find it and how to use it
  • Composition
  • Basic photo editing
  • Weekly practical assignments to put new skills to the test

This course is ideal for people who are new to photography and would like to learn to make the most of their creative skills. The course fee of R2750 includes refreshments and light snacks at each session as well as all course materials.  If you book two or more places, the fee is discounted to R2500 per person.  R75 from each place booked will be donated to charity.

The only requirement for attending the course is to have a digital SLR camera and a laptop.
