Dogs and babies make for very interesting photo shoot subjects. This newborn portrait session was combined with (and every so slightly taken over by) dog photography, and of course we all had a fabulous time.
The star of the show was sleeping when I arrived, so I managed to get some calm, relaxed shots before the four doggy siblings got involved. They did not want to sit quietly on the bed with their sister altogether, so they had to take turns.
As it happened, the turn taking only applied to the Schnauzer sisters, their Jack Russell counterparts would only sit still for solo portraits and just about managed to participate in a family shot.
Ruby refused to share the limelight with anyone.
This was very happy chaos and Baby M was totally oblivious.
Hexi and Betsy did slightly better with the posing, they managed to look at the camera, LOL.
And still the little starlet slept on.
Even putting her in a bucket filled with dog treats (that was the only way to get the dogs to look at her) didn’t disturb her peaceful slumber.
We finished the newborn dog photography shoot off with some portraits of the dogs in pairs which are now gracing the walls of the family’s dining room 🙂
In case you hadn’t guessed it, I LOVE photographing dogs and capturing the fun, happy and chaotic family dynamic that ensues with the addition of them in a photo shoot.
