Portraits of Lisa & Floki at Razor Charlie, Kramerville
Meet Lisa and Floki. Creators of brand new dog blog – My Dog Ate My Blog – and friends of mine. To start the blog off with a bang, we headed off to Razor Charlie in Kramerville, Sandton to check out this dog friendly eatery and shoot some portraits of the pair for their very first post.
I will let Lisa do the talking on her blog but needless to say, Floki was very well behaved and we enjoyed our late lunch in this very cool little restaurant.
I love the opportunity to be really creative with shots, and before it started to rain (really the bane of my life at the moment) I got some fun shots through the window of this cute pair having coffee and then cocktails (it was after 12pm I promise).
As more and more of us have dogs that are integral parts of our lives, it’s really great to see new dog friendly restaurants opening. Sadly, I won’t be able to take any of my four legged team out for lunch because there does need to be a modicum of behavioural skill for lunch with dogs to be enjoyable. My dogs would just embarrass me. Floki is small enough to sit on a chair and well trained enough to add an element of fun to the occasion without the need for 400 tequila shots. If you think I’m exaggerating, please invite me out for lunch with the twins.
Razor Charlie is conveniently situated underneath Katy’s Palace Bar, next to Amatuli Artefacts ( I didn’t go in, my bank balance won’t survive). It’s got funky decor, lovely food and an intimate vibe.
Lisa and I will be giving away a photo shoot and lunch for your and your dog in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned to both our sites and social media to make sure you’re in with a chance of winning.
Floki tried his luck at sharing Mom’s cocktail.
I got educated about metal straws (Lisa pulled a set out of her bag after I took this photo) make sure you read her blog for more about this.
Floki modelled two Friendship Collar designs for the shoot. He’s been in so many of my photos that he knows exactly what to do when I pull out the camera now.
As does his Mom :). We’re working on a few more blog post shoots in the coming weeks, stayed tuned.
