I love shooting portraits on location and I especially love it when I’m working with clients that I’ve met and photographed before. This lovely lot were expecting baby number two, and after a maternity shoot at home for the first small human, we decided on a shoot at Delta Park to change things up for their second little boy.
Whilst Mom, Dad, Zoe the dog and I were happy to be strolling around the park taking photos, little Leo wasn’t so enthused about the process and it took quite a bit of cajoling and persuasion to get him to sit and look like he was having a good time.
Small humans can be a quite unpredictable (I think most Moms and Dads can attest to this) so sometimes you have to roll with the punches and just let them be. Two years olds can be happy one minute and then crying about the sky being the wrong colour the next and invariably they come around to smiling again.
Whilst Leo was having a break from the limelight, I spent some time photographing Mom and Dad.
I think it’s quite rare for parents of a two year old to get any time for photos of themselves together.
Dad got called away to help Leo climb a tree, so Mom, Zoe and I took some pics to finish off the shoot.
Baby number two arrived safely at the beginning of September and I’ve just done his newborn shoot which I’ll share on here soon.
