If you’re new to my website and work, you’ll probably start to notice a trend as you go through the pics of newborn babies with dogs. It’s no accident and I absolutely love taking pictures of babies and dogs, especially together. Mom and Dad told me that the dogs were a little out of sorts with the arrival of their new baby brother, so it was only right to make sure they were included in the newborn shoot. I have no idea if it cheered them up, but they very much enjoyed sleeping on the blankets and props I took with me.
You’ll also notice that most of the new babies I photograph are wide awake and I edit the pics so that it looks like everything was under control (sometimes is really is) when in reality we do have some tears and top up feeds in between shots.
We got off to a good start with baby GJ, the disruption started when he was stripped off and calmed down again she he was wrapped back up.
Here he is chilling before the application of dogs.
This is my go to shot when babies cry.
The dogs wanted to sleep in the bucket, so they were a little put out when GJ went in there first.
But they got straight in and claimed it as their own as soon as GJ was moved.
New baby shoots are best when they’re scheduled within the first 10 to 14 days of baby’s arrival. Little ones grow and change very quickly, so it’s important not to leave it too late. Please get in touch with me to chat further about booking a shoot for your new baby.
