Imagine my delight when I was commissioned to photograph these two beauties. Miguel and Sebastian are thirteen year old long haired Dachshunds and their Mom asked me to shoot some portraits of them for her husband’s birthday. The boys are the resident dog children and totally rule the roost. Mom had initially planned to come through to the studio for the photo shoot, but Sebastian has epilepsy, which ruled that out, so I went to their house instead.
I’ve got quite a nifty portable studio set up which only requires some good natural light and we were all set.
The Daxie brothers were not very interested in having their photos taken until Mom appeared with some freshly cooked chicken which they found very appealing.
I love photographing dogs and what I love even more, is making people happy by giving them gorgeous pictures of their dogs that they can enjoy forever.
The boys’ portraits are being framed up for the wall as well as printed into a coffee table album for Dad’s birthday.
Mom is an avid animal activist so once we’d taken photos and the boys had completely lost interest, we were able to share notes about dog rescue over a slice of cake :).
