Four French Bulldogs, one photographer and endless patience….
People often ask me how I get shots like this one and the answer is persistence and perseverance. It’s not easy to get multiple dogs to stay still and pose, so they have to be bribed, positioned and re-positioned until they get the idea (or just give in).
Deana, Pandora, Juliet and Romeo came through to the studio with their Mom for portraits recently. The two on the left are still puppies so they were very inquisitive, Romeo wanted to give me kisses and Juliet (the non show standard pooch) was the best poser out of the lot.
I think Pandora (the black and white Frenchie) found the photo shoot a bit boring, she decided to lie down and refused to do much else, but otherwise it was a pretty straightforward shoot.
I thoroughly enjoy the slight chaos that comes with photographing multiple dogs, it makes the end result so worth it.
Have you got a crazy bunch of hounds you’d like photographing (or even some calm ones)? I’m donated R350 to CLAW (Community Led Animal Welfare) for every shoot booked that includes a dog, so please contact me for more info.
