This is Belinha, a rescue dog originating from Brazil, and now living in sunny London (yes the sun does shine in the UK sometimes).
Belinha’s mom Teresa runs The Dogvine a dog blog for pets and their owners in the London area. We met at Leake Street Tunnel near Waterloo for their portrait shoot which is a dedicated area for graffiti artists to work, so it’s ever changing which is really cool.
It’s always nice to meet fellow rescue dog enthusiasts and to be able to compare notes. Teresa has 3 adopted dogs and donates her time to help a shelter in Greece each year, so we had lots to talk about.
Belinha had a very impressive range of accessories to wear for her shoot and we managed to coordinate different bow ties and bandanas with each of the backdrops.
Dog photography is the best part of my job, not only do I enjoy meeting new dogs and their people, but it keeps me on my toes creatively. I’m not very familiar with London, so all the shoots I did during my trip were in places that were new to me, which meant having to think on my feet to create each shot.
London will be a regular spot on my photography itinerary going forward, so if you’d like to chat to me about a portrait shoot in the city, please get in touch with me here.
