Surprise was the order of the day when this little lady arrived slightly ahead of schedule. I went through to the family at home a few weeks later to shoot newborn portraits with Mom and Dad.
My preference for newborn portraits is natural light and to work in client’s homes. We had some lovely natural light, but a slightly less willing baby.
Little Isla just wanted to be cuddled, so we worked around her. Most of the images I take are natural, in the moment and authentic (I hope). Whilst there is always some degree of positioning of participants during a shoot, I aim to let moments happen rather than force them to.
Isla quite liked chilling on her Dad’s arm like this. She was a bit niggly during the shoot, so we were very glad of a moment of contentment.
Dad proved to be very popular throughout the shoot.
I love this shot, she looks so tiny next to Dad’s hand.
I got a few more family portraits before our young model decided that it was time to sleep and we wrapped up the shoot.
Please contact me for package and pricing information. My newborn shoots incorporate the whole family (siblings and pets too).
