I recently teamed up with Friendship Collar South Africa to offer mini shoots for dogs and their owners at Walkhaven dog park in Johannesburg. Our collaboration was part of a fundraising event for CLAW (Community Led Animal Welfare) and it was a phenominally successful day. Not only did CLAW raise over R28,000, I photographed a wonderful selection of dogs and their people, here are a few of them.
Fendi and his Mom with their matching Friendship Collar in ‘Dotty About You’.
Abby, who, as you can see was more interested in keeping an eye on the activity around her.
Puppy Bailey who wriggled like a worm in between shots. It took four of us to keep him sitting still.
Gorgeous Pittie Titan who had just had a knee operation and had to stay on his lead, which he wasn’t too happy about.
Malamutes Dulux and Belle who were only really interested in swimming.
Little Boston Terrier Flooi gave us his best shocked look.
The Scorer family spent most of the shoot rounding the dogs up as they ran off in different directions, making for some unique action shots.
Little Loki, who I’ve photographed a few times, behaved impeccably though, until he ran off.
If you’d like to get your own set of pictures and a Friendship Collar set for you and your dog, we’ll be at Idlewild Country Estate for the Lady and her Tramp event on Women’s Day – Wednesday 9th August. Please contact me for more info.
