Portraits of Your Dog. Artwork for Your Home.
Your dog is part of your family, and the photographs you create together deserve to be enjoyed somewhere more meaningful than your phone.
My studio portrait collections are designed to capture your dog’s personality, expressions and unique character—and turn your favourite images into professionally produced artwork for your home.
Sessions take place in my Centurion studio, conveniently located between Johannesburg and Pretoria. An at-home studio option is also available for dogs and cats who would be more comfortable in their own environment.
What Your Portrait Experience Includes
Every portrait experience includes:
- A pre-session questionnaire so I can get to know you and your dogs
- Guidance to help you prepare for the session
- A relaxed, dog-friendly studio photoshoot
- Plenty of patience, treats and creative problem-solving
- Professional editing and retouching of your final portraits
- A personal image-selection appointment
- Professionally produced artwork according to your chosen collection
Your dog does not need to be trained, sit perfectly or look at the camera on command. I have been photographing animals for more than twenty years and have yet to be outwitted by a dog.

Bringing the Studio to You
At-Home Studio Upgrade
Some animals are far happier being photographed at home. The at-home studio option is particularly helpful for:
- Elderly dogs or dogs with limited mobility
- Very large dogs
- Anxious dogs who find travelling stressful
- Multi-pet households
- Families who would like to include cats
- Animals who are more comfortable in familiar surroundings
The at-home studio upgrade can be added to any portrait collection:
- Within 40 km of the Centurion studio — R1,750
- Beyond 40 km — additional R6.5 per km
The upgrade includes travel, transportation of the studio backdrop and lighting, set-up and breakdown, and up to 30 additional minutes to allow your animals time to settle.
A suitable indoor space and reasonable access are required. I’ll discuss the practical requirements with you before confirming your booking.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many dogs can I bring?
Each portrait collection includes up to three dogs from the same household.
If you have more than three dogs, please get in touch before booking. The best arrangement will depend on the size and temperament of your dogs; four Chihuahuas and four Great Danes require rather different logistics.
Larger groups may require an at-home session, additional time or a tailored quotation.
Can I be included in the photographs?
Absolutely. Humans are always welcome to be part of the session. The relationship you share with your dog is part of your story, and I’ll guide you on what to wear so that the finished portraits feel cohesive and timeless.
What if my dog won’t sit still?
That is entirely normal. Your dog doesn’t need to perform or behave perfectly.
I work patiently and photograph in short bursts, using treats, toys, noises and a well-developed sense of humour to capture the expressions I need. Leads can also be removed during the editing process where necessary.
Can I purchase additional artwork?
Yes. You can upgrade the size of your included artwork or order additional framed portraits and wall-art collections. I’ll help you choose the most suitable size and arrangement for your home.
Are digital photographs included?
Every collection includes web-sized digital portraits for sharing online. These files are designed for phones, social media and digital use and are not suitable for printing.
The Complete Collection also includes twenty high-resolution digital portraits, along with matching web-sized copies.
Additional digital options can be discussed during your image-selection appointment.
Can I print high-resolution files myself?
High-resolution files purchased as part of your collection may be printed for personal use. However, I cannot accept responsibility for the colour, quality or finish of photographs printed by third-party suppliers.
For consistent professional quality, I recommend ordering finished artwork directly through the studio.
Do you photograph cats and other animals?
Yes. Cats and other pets are very welcome. Because most cats are happier in familiar surroundings, an at-home studio session will usually be the best option.
Where is the studio?
The studio is based in Centurion, Gauteng, and is easily accessible from both Johannesburg and Pretoria.
Ready to Create Something Beautiful?
I accept a limited number of portrait commissions each month so that every client receives a personal, carefully considered experience from planning through to final artwork delivery.
Complete the enquiry form and tell me a little about your dogs, the collection you’re considering and what you would love to create.
