Beach Portrait Session – Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape
Photography is all about capturing memories and whilst I find this particular description of what I do for a living rather clichéd, it’s particularly apt for this set of images, as they feature my own daughter.

Rosie and I live in different continents and see each other every four months, so she’s grown up a little bit more each time I see her. I’ve made a conscious effort to shoot portraits of her every time we get together and these particular images were shot during a trip to Kenton on Sea in the Eastern Cape.

Winter weather at the South African coast can be quite varied and as Rosie visits in August, we were very lucky to get a break in the chilly wind to shoot these fabulous sunset portraits.

Whilst I realize I am biased, I recommend that clients shoot family portraits at least once a year (I have some clients who schedule shoots every six months) to really be able to capture a visual journal of children as they grow and change. Grown ups usually remark how they age as each shoot passes, but panic not, that’s what Photoshop is for.

Whilst I’m based in landlocked Centurion, I love to travel. If you’d like to chat to me about a beach portrait shoot for your kids or family, please click here to get in touch with me.
