Colourful studio dog photography for the 2025 Sushi and Panda Foundation calendar

I was commissioned to photograph this year’s Sushi and Panda Foundation calendar – and it’s one of my favourite projects yet. The calendar is full of colour, joy, and of course, plenty of dogs and cats! Shot against vibrant pink, blue, and yellow studio backdrops, the portraits bring out each pet’s personality in a fun and playful way.

The 2025 calendar features dogs and cats adopted from The Sushi & Panda Foundation. For anyone wondering, the cats were a little bit of a challenge, but as always, I got the job done and the portraits look super.

The Sushi and Panda Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats and dogs in need. Named after two much-loved French Bulldogs, the foundation works tirelessly to give vulnerable animals a second chance at life. They not only focus on finding forever homes but also on community education and supporting initiatives that improve animal welfare.

Being part of their 2025 calendar project gave me the opportunity to use my passion for studio dog photography in a meaningful way. My aim with every session is to capture the quirks, charm, and soul of each dog – and with these bold, colourful backdrops, their unique personalities shine brighter than ever.

If you’d like to see more of my work, or book a session for your own dog, take a look at my dog and people portrait photography portfolio. Whether it’s a playful studio shoot or a relaxed outdoor session, I specialise in creating portraits that celebrate the bond you share with your pets.
