Valgray for Dogs – branding & product shoot

Valgray for Dogs recently commissioned me to photograph their new collar and lead designs and of course we absolutely had to use real life dog models to show the range off to its fullest.

Models included Romeo the Pitbull puppy who sat beautifully and was simply delightful even though the spray painted raw hide chews were tempting him.

Little Lily the Bull Terrier was enthusiastic about the shoot (as only a Bull Terrier can be).

Thankfully the snack items on offer (FYI not the sprayed raw hide bones) kept her occupied long enough to get her dressed and snapped.

Scrumptious Skollie was next up…

He performed some circus tricks so we could get his best side and a shot of his adorable woolly legs.

Baloo brought some calm to the room. He was happy to chill in position and let me snap away.

His sister Milly came too and eventually they sat together.

Last, but by no means least was Chief and his crew.

We kept having to peel tiny Chief off the reflector and away from the light cables, but when he sat, he was very cute. His eyes even match the collar, hows that for model casting.

Older siblings and modelling professionals Blue and Willow showed Chief how it was supposed to be done if only the ants in his pants would stop.

Once the actual models had gone home, Jane a.k.a Fashion Hound had a turn. I’d talked up Jane’s skills and she let me down in a big way by sitting with her mouth open like a fool and then lying down for a nap. Clearly I did not manage to save the best for last.

After the Jane debacle, we moved on to far easier subject matter – the actual products, and we put the carefully sprayed dog toys and treats to good use.
