Just in time for Valentine’s Day 2021

Would you believe me if I told you this little girl is incredibly shy? Because it’s hard to tell from the impromptu poses that she whipped out to entertain us all during her shoot.

Granted I have a a slight advantage in that she belongs to friends of mine, so she’s met me a few times before, but the delightful repertoire of funny faces was a lovely surprise.

Photographing children requires much the same approach as photographing dogs; patience, bribery, a sense of humour and a fast trigger finger.

I love shooting portraits of children. Their spontaneity is so wonderful if they’re given some space to enjoy the experience of a photoshoot and some time to get comfortable and warm up in the studio.

And of course some snacks to keep them happy.

I also shot some couple and family portraits because Valentine’s Day is coming up and I have something special up my sleeve…..

What you can’t see (because I photoshopped her out) is our lovely little model sitting behind Dad working her way through her lunchbox.

From February onwards, I’ll be making a limited number of styled mini sessions available each month (get in touch with me here if you’d like to be added to my waitlist for these sessions) for just R1250 including two A5 fine art prints.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so bring your favourite person or pooch into the studio and I’ll create a set of gorgeous dramatic portraits for you (just like these ones).

There are just five spaces available on the weekend of 13th & 14th February – click here to book your spot.
