Double Trouble and Stacks of Fun
So this happened.
Sherlock and Lucy the Dobermans came through to my studio for a portrait shoot with their Mom and Dad recently. We had LOTS of fun. As you’ll see shortly, the hounds were enormous, so it was a bit like having two small ponies wandering around.

I managed to catch quite a few crazy facial expressions during the shoot. A combination of my signature dying cat noise and some freshly cooked chicken bagged the above corker from Lucy.

Sherlock decided that he was a lap dog/pony and misunderstood the ‘sit next to Mom’ instruction.

Chicken?

Hello? Chicken?

I have no idea what Lucy was doing in the background here. Towards the end of the shoot, the dogs really started to clown around. Sherlock went from goofy to serious and Lucy was just eyeballing the snacks (we had to downgrade to biscuits after all the chicken disappeared and she was after some).

Photographing Lucy was a little more challenging than normal because she wasn’t able to sit. She’s quite a senior lady now and since she was a puppy, she’s suffered with arthritis making it very painful for her to bend her knees. So she lay down and looked marvellous instead.

Sherlock’s ‘Are you serious’ look. He pulled it off a little too well, (laughs nervously).
Studio dog portraits make great wall art for your home. I often frame up dog images like this one for my clients and as far as I’m concerned, the bigger they’re printed, the better. I shot some similar images of three Daxies in the studio which you’ll find here.
Get in touch with me if you like the sound of some personalised dog art for your home and we can chat.
