Three Labradors and their family photographed at Delta Park, Johannesburg

Pure, unadulterated chaos sums up this family portrait shoot perfectly. This photo gives a great insight into the wonderful madness that went on throughout this session.

Gastone, Whitney and Snowy are three former SA Guide Dog trainees. In order to prep a service dog, puppies are raised by a family until they are 18 months old and ready to go into full time training. This collection of Labradors didn’t quite make the grade, so they stayed with their family.

We met up for a portrait shoot at Delta Park which involved lots of giggles (mostly at the dogs bouncing around all over the show) and eventually some gorgeous family shots.

The dogs were fixated on what was going on behind me and kept disappearing off into the sunset whenever they got the chance.

Dogs are full of fun and I firmly believe that a family photo shoot that includes them should also be lighthearted and enjoyable for everyone.

If you’ve got some lively hounds that you’d like to have photographed, please get in touch with me here. As far as I’m concerned, the crazier your family is, the better :).
