A colourful portrait shoot with three Ridgebacks in Maboneng

Three enormous Ridgebacks, their mom and I hit the streets of Maboneng recently for a fun and colourful portrait shoot.

We made the most of funky walls and graffiti to create some striking portraits amongst the chaos of the Maboneng streets.

Molly, Keeva and Paddy weren’t quite sure what to make of being walked around Maboneng, but with the help of some bribery we managed to get them to sit still long enough for some cool shots. The matching collar and graffiti styling was a very happy accident.

How amazing are these murals? Every time I visit Maboneng there’s something new on the walls. Its ever changing visuals mean that each shoot I do there is unique which I think is pretty cool.

I’ve been shooting in Maboneng for several years now and it’s expanded into a bustling part of Joburg that I love working in.

Once the dogs had had enough of the city buzz, we headed to Delta Park for some more relaxed pics.

Are we done yet human?

Because we’re a bit tired after all the excitement.

And mom promised extra treats if we were good.
