Four little dogs and a Newborn baby
Favouritism is slightly frowned upon in my line of work. It’s actually hard to have favourite clients when they’re all so fabulous. This shoot will go into the newborn and dog portrait session hall of fame though because it was such good fun.

Technically I was invited round to photograph this little newborn lady. She shares her home with this other lady…..

And this other lady (along with two more four legged ladies)….

So the shoot morphed into more of a dog portrait shoot with the occasional appearance of a baby.

I got shouted at by the dogs a few times, which was very entertaining.

Eventually we had to shut the dogs outside so we could concentrate on the human star of the show. She pretty much slept through the shoot, the dogs however were in the garden doing circuits until we let them back in again.

I think you’ll be getting the gist now that I’m a bit dog mad. I really love portrait sessions like this that include new babies and dogs. If you’ve been a dog parent for a while and then you also step into the role of human parent, it makes total sense to include the dogs in a photo shoot.

I did make sure I got some family shots without the hounds (the family pics got a bit out of hand on the crazy scale) which the small human slept through.

Dad wasn’t too keen on posed pics, so I kept things chilled for him (not too many ‘look at the camera’ shots).

Then we put the baby in a bucket and hid treats under her to get this shot.

Thanks to this marvellous family for a lovely shoot, I hope you’ve enjoyed the images I’ve shared here.
