One of three charity calendars I photographed last year (it’s always a good creative challenge to make sure they all look different) the Sushi & Panda Foundation calendar was shot at Delta Park and features a collection of dogs who were rescued by the amazing Sushi & Panda team.
As always, foundation mascots Sushi and Panda are the cover stars and you’ll find their sister Nala (she’s the featured image at the top of the page) starting the year as Miss January.

The calendar features colour photographs of all the images, so I thought it would be fun to share black and white versions here. I’m a big fan of Bruce Weber’s dog portraits, so this is a bit of a nod to his work.

Meet Max. He’s a good boy.

This is Enzo, he’s also a good boy.

Gorgeous Hoshi.

Mira was a delight. I think you’re getting the idea now that rescue dogs come in all shapes, sizes and varieties.

Mocha thoroughly enjoyed posing for her portrait.

Loki, by name and by nature…..

Super sweet Sugar.

And Milo.
You can order your own Sushi & Panda 2024 calendar via Whatsapp on 0829050277 They beautifully designed A3 wall calendars and a steal at R150 each with all proceeds going towards the amazing work the Sushi & Panda team does for South Africa’s township dogs.

I don’t just love photographing dogs, I also love to see the photographs I take put to good use. All my dog photography packages include printed images so you can enjoy your portraits and make sure everyone who visits your home does too. Pop me a message here to find out more.
